When can I start using RealityCapture (RC) on my computer?
Demo version - right after downloading and activating the application on its first run.
Paid versions - right after having registered your payment, downloading* and activating the application on its first run.

How to go about activating my RC license?
To activate RC on your computer, just start the application and follow the instructions on the screen. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, click here for activation information: https://www.capturingreality.com/my.activation

We do not send such keys/codes.
Your license is added into your CR account automatically after your payment registration. You can activate your license after running the software, entering your credentials (provided when placing the order) and start using it right away. The application will guide you through the activation process.
You do not need to enter any activation codes.
Can I use one RC license on more computers at the same time?
Each RC license may be used only on a single computer. You can activate a license on a computer for a selected period of time. Once the license activation expires, you can activate it on another computer. This way you can circulate the license among 5 computers per year at most. If you intend to use RC on more computers at the same time, you need to buy more licenses.

How to switch a license to a different computer of mine?
First check whether you are allowed to do so. Navigate to https://www.capturingreality.com/my.licenses and have a look at these two columns: number of "remaining swaps" and "activated until" period.
Our policy does not allow changing computer before its activation period is over. If you know that you are going to upgrade or switch your computer, you should choose a suitable activation period. Further, if you plan to switch between office and home, you should use shorter activation periods or buy one more license, since we are not supporting floating licenses.
In case you may switch your license to a different computer (after having checked in your MY account / licenses), uninstall RC from the old computer and install, run and activate it on the new computer.
How do I transfer an RC license to a different end-user?
If you wish to re-locate the licenses under another account then please request it from the email under which are the licenses purchased (you must see the licenses in your MY account registered under this email). The end-user must be registered at our webpage in order to be able to re-locate the license.
What do I do after reinstallation of my operating system?
Reinstallation of the operating system is considered to be the same as a change of the computer. You need to install the program and activate the license anew. Unfortunately, the system will allow you to do so just after your license activation period, which you have chosen, expires. To check whether and/or when you are allowed to do so, navigate to https://www.capturingreality.com/my.licenses and have a look at these two columns: number of "remaining swaps" and "activated until" period.
How do I switch my Demo to a Promo or any other paid RC license?
In case that you want to upgrade your Demo version to a Promo or any other paid one and use it at the same computer, you need to uninstall the Demo first. After you have bought the Promo or any other license, you have to download, install and activate it, as usual.
Please note that projects created in RealityCapture Demo keep the Demo restrictions.
What happens when my license is nearing or comes to an end and I want to continue using it further?
The program will notify you 3, 2, 1 day, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 hour ahead. Unless you buy a new license before the license expiration, the application will simply stop working and you cannot use it any further.
Providing that you have the automatic renewal enabled (WORKFLOW tab / Settings / Licenses / Enable auto renew / True), you may smoothly continue using it after having bought another license. You can also renew the license manually (WORKFLOW tab / Settings / Licenses / Renew license / Renew) - you will be asked to enter your registration e-mail and password, to select one of your already bought new licenses and, finally, to set the license activation time.
