In this video, we explain how you can transfer textures from one model to another using the "Texture Reprojection Tool". This is a powerful tool giving much faster results than regular texturing in RC. The tool also has the option to create both Normal and Displacement maps on a simplified model to fake the detail from the surface of very High poly models.

This video is great.
Question: Does it make a difference if I simplify my mesh and then Unwrap and texture?
Or am I better off Unwrapping and texturing my high poly mesh, simplifying, and then reprojecting that texture to the simplified model?
I found info on how to tweak the settings to increase the Texture Quality percentage but I'm working on finding the most efficient workflow while keeping the best quality possible.
