Use your Wacom pen to navigate in RealityCapture. Here is how to pan, tumble and zoom in the 3Ds view by using your Pro Pen 2, or Pro Pen 3D.
Pro Pen 2
To be able to use Wacom pen in RealityCapture, it is necessary to add it to the Application tray in the Wacom Tablet Properties. This can be done by clicking on the [+] button as seen in the image below, and in the Currently Open Applications box select RealityCapture, or you can click on Browse button and select RealityCapture's executable file. Don't forget to have it selected in the Application tray.
There are three options (click + two customizable side switches) with Pro Pen 2, and if set in the same manner as can be seen in the image, they will correspond to this actions:
- Click - Move/Pan
- Right Click - Rotate/Tumble
- Zoom... - Zoom in and out (by dragging the pen up or down on the tablet)
Don't forget to disable the use of Windows Ink in the Mapping tab. If left enabled, right click button will behave as move/pan.
Pro Pen 3D
Setting up Pro Pen 3D to be able to use it in RealityCapture is essentially the same as setting up Pro Pen 2, with the exception of having three customizable side switches.
Make sure that RealityCapture was added to the Application tray, and that it is selected. Pro Pen 3D has four options (click + three customizable side switches), and they can be set as seen in the image below:
- Click - Move/Pan
- Right Click - Rotate/Tumble
- Zoom... - Zoom in and out (by dragging the pen up or down on the tablet)
- Reset View - Corresponds to keyboard shortcut Alt+V which resets the view in the 3Ds view (SCENE 3D / VIEW tab > View Camera)
Disable Windows Ink to gain full rotate/tumble functionality when using the side switch set as Right Click.
Note: These setting are meant to be used with the default navigation style in RealityCapture. You can check if it is set correctly in the application settings.
