Best configuration for RC: SLI or Single?

I am building a machine specifically for use with RC and I was curious which was the better option.

A) Dual GTX 970 SLI
or
B) Single GTX 980

Thoughts?

*Data set will consist of 82 24MP images.

  best performance get from the 2 x 970 ( overclocked and 2-3 fans is the best combo ) its almost double so fast as single GTX 980
