    Hi Jon

The size of the images is probably out of limits. upload JPGs with size under 1 MB

    Capture Reality Experiment: Tank

This was a good experiment because I started taking the photos while it was raining (typical weather changes). Over time, the surface of the Tank was covered in droplets so feature point detection should have been very problematic, but RC did a pretty good job.
Unfortunately I can only get the "Start" method of reconstruction to work, using normal or high reconstruction process results in video card crash (I have 2x GeForce GTX 560 Ti).

    Battleship project.

I'm doing a personal project for a Museum. I have not had a chance to try high detail reconstruction but imagine it would look great.

what we can understand under crash ?

You tank look good, here is inspiration for next tank "session" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgWxgZZ7pZo

for the ship see plenty of "panorama" shooting scenario that is not good for photogrammetry...

    Crash is related to CUDA.
The log file has reset, but I'll see if I can reproduce the error.

Edit: When texturing a model I get this error:
CUDA error: Not enough device memory. Error detected when uploading image (path) to GPU

Yeah I saw that tank, absolutely beautiful :) wish I had a good tank like that around. I only had 15min to capture the tank before testing other things.

    Very inspirational

    AA GUN (57 images).

Pretty good result. Would need more coverage of some of the internal areas and just got the CUDA texture error as well.

You are correct, For some areas I stood in the same spot and did "nodal point" panorama. However most of the alignment issues is because internal areas and outside did not have overlap. This can be fixed if I do more control points (using laser scanner data to help align).

    Battleship Turret.

This was also a great result considering how shiny the turret is (lots of specular reflections).

Old Artillery - again, lots of specular but everything aligned nicely.

Please note, these are tests done in my personal time and are not intended to be final.

    Radar Dish

This experiment worked well - the gaps are due to the radar dish "mesh" which is thin and see through.

Just a question, how many photos were done for that tank? high megapixels? wide lens? Also the lighting looks really good, is there a photo of what it looks like in real life? Many thanks.
