UDIM
Answered
Hi guys,
I have a large model which i've processed. In order to maintain texture quality I've laid it out in UDIM. However I'm wondering if RC does support UDIM? I've noticed that exported textures have _u1_v1 applied for their filename. But RC shifts any UVs in a beyond 0-1 space into the 0-1 space when you import the model, so all your shells are on top of one another
As a work around I decided to try to individually shift all UDIMs into 0-1 as seperate OBJs (so you have a folder with lots of OBJs, each one is a different UV set moved to 0-1 and the other co-ordinates deleted) and process the textures one by one in RC. But when I try to import the model I get this warning "Model contains non-textured triangles. Please update model UV coordinates and try to import again." since I have deleted UVs which weren't needed in that indivual OBJ. This was a hacky solution that would've taken a long time to process all those objs anyway.
Has anyone managed to get UDIM working?

Hi Eddt
UDIM support is on the way.... if everything goes as planned, then in the next release it can be supported.
Please contact me at milos.lukac@capturingreality.com and when it’s ready as an internal test build, you can test it...
And look at https://www.capturingreality.com/My, as there is a new official build ( RealityCapture version 1.0.2.2091 RC ) ready for deployment for all... -
