merge two rcp files
Answered
Hi, I have done two seperate rcproj files, which share some pics. Is there a chance to combine them in one file? I am missing an import for components?!

Okay, if I open all taken pictures together and align them I get many components, because this is a mixture of UAS aerials and ground taken pictures.
Therefore I wanted to import just the aerials in one component (chunk), the ground taken pictures in another and merge them then together. I couldnt find a function to create an extra component, so I did two seperate projects. One with the aerials, one with the grounds. Now I want to put the componentes (files) together, create the control points and want to align all together in one component.
I hope its clear, obvisiously I am missig the correct workflow. -
Hi Souler
1. open the particular project
2. select all cameras
3. in ALIGNMENT -> REGISTRATION -> export it as a default set - RC ALIGNMENT COMPONENT -> save to X:/COMPONENTS
4. repeat per project to export all COMPONENTS you need.....
5. in WORKFLOW -> COMPONENT import all required COMPONENTS to a new clean project and try to use ALIGNMENT, if it does not align, you need to use control points or GCPs to get it together.. -
I'm using a partial rig to make 4 components of an object turned ny 90° each time.
Each component is aligned, I made a reconstruction and also a texturing.
Because I use the rig, I produced a registration profile with the first project and then re-used the xmp data.. then yes, the images had to have the same name for this process to work. -
Hi frédéric de brignac
Can you send me the dataset + RCProject + COMPONENTS to milos.lukac@capturingreality.com ?
I need to check what could cause this sort of issue.. If it is just a naming problem or something else..
