Stuck on Creating Model...
Answered
RC stuck on creating model part 17/29 fo many hours and the Remaining Time nor finish estimation time not updating just the total.
It looks like it not working but in the task manager I can see it working... CPU, DISK, Memory
Please advise what to do ?
Should I turn it off and somehow I could continue that from the same point or just wait ?
*Update: just found that in the Temp folder the files hasn't been updated since 5:36am and now already 10:20am
I think it stuck but please tell me what to do to save the data so I could start not from the beginning

My sympathies for you... unfortunately I find this software is great for speed and accuracy but unfortunately these benefits come at a price. I reckon you are going to have to kill it and restart.
It's a bit of a gamble... slow and steady with the competitors software but will more than likely get you an output eventually... or try your luck with the super-fast option which I think pushes your hardware to it's limits- if you do get an output highly likely it will be amazing but there seems to be a bigger risk of failure... process for hours and hours and come back to the big red error bar or a re-booted computer and back to square one.
I for one would like the ability to be able to dial down the power a bit, at the expense of a bit of time to ensure a more reliable output. One could fine tune to suit their hardware and over time processing many projects you'd have a fair idea of what was going to work on your system successfully or not. -
Thanks Perter,
Its very strange, the software responding well, showing the alignment report , doing inspection and stuff and even "allow" to save the project - BUT big BUT it does not really save it in the location that I pointed - just doing a fake save :(
So I pushed the Pause button and let's see how it will respond...
5 min passed and nothing , I'll giver it another 20min and then kill it.
ooo after 7 min it paused :)
Still not saving the model, temp model not updated and the log file on the line of part 17/29...
Update:
After pausing and resuming it seems like something working (there was writing process in the Disk and a few new files appeared in the Temp folder but they also disappeared "etilqs_******...") but it didn't work (I gave it a half an hour).
So I aborted the process and the project has saved like 7 times (seems that when you press save it enters to a Que).
I changed the Reconstruction Region and pressed Normal Button again! -

Kill the processing, then open it again and change the RECONSTRUCTION REGION, change the size and orientation by 10-15 %
and then reconstruct again ( depth maps are already calculated so it will be faster )
Thanks,
I just wrote an update in my previous post!

Milos,
Yes, looking forward to a more stable product. RC kills everything else with regard to speed. Only thing letting it down is its' flakiness- that is- when you set it to process a big job- don't have 100% confidence that when you come back it will have succeeded or you come back to the dreaded red error bar! Competitors seem to have more stable product- but oh so slow!! -
I found i could come up against quite often.
but i wouldn't find out i had an issue until about 5 days in.
I never really have found that change reconstruction region area worked for me.
doing the recon at lower setting normally worked. but thats not really a solution when you need the high detail models.
one thing I found that started making them work more often was setting the max distance between vertices.
adding more ram may make the issue come up less. -

It worked for me! I changed the Reconstruction region and it worked in the end.
