Camera Export Question
I'm familiar with the option to export cameras within the export Mesh window, but it seems RC is exporting all the images belonging to the project, whereas I'm just interested in those cameras relevant to a particular Reconstruction Region. If I then had to export numerous Reconstruction Regions to account for everything in the project, with every image in the project being exported each time, that multiplier is obviously highly inefficient. Can someone tell me if I'm missing something?
Big Thanks,
Benjy

Hi Benjy,
do you need the undistorted 2D images or the cameras-information in 3D?
Anyway, I would try to select the cameras by marking all tie points in the bounding box (you will probably need to change views for that and use shift and ctrl to add and remove them). Then you can invert the selection and disable the ones you don't need. I'm not sure if that prevents RC from exporting them, but I would think so. If not, then I would consider to export the cameras as a Registration (you can define that deactivated ones shall not be exported) and opening them in a new project via Import Component. That would need you to export XMP first (camera poses as locked), which means that if present and with the same name as the image file, it will override an alignment by RC. So that means you can run the necessary alignment after importing the component and the cameras will remain in the same positions.
By the way, this XMP workflow might also have worked for when you wanted to migrate to a different project while keeping the absolute position. I didn't think of it at the time...
