Laser Scan & photos mix model requirment

Hi, was prepare a project with laser scan and photos mix modeling.

what's the laser scan data needed to be prepare ? black&white (gray) working or need a color point laser scan ? the Laser scan data will convert to .lsp ,which is also a special image need to alignment with color photos ? or the laser scan need min cloud point limited which can be use for mix modeling ?

  Hi wangsgi,

  I think RC limits the points on it's own, so I wouldn't worry about that.

  Usually, it is said that RC definitely needs color information, although somebody has claimed that intensity might work as well, but I don't know how - probably only in very special cricumstances. The thing is that RC converts the scans into 6 images per scan and then simply aligns them like all other images.

  You can use e57 or ptx, as it says everywhere in the manual!  ;-)
