    Hi alice,

I think you need to give a bit more info, or rather screenshots (wireframe and much bigger).

What are you showing us in the (thumbnail sized) screenshot? A Rendering, the textured mesh? Did you simplify the mesh?

Generally speaking if everything is all right, then RC should model it properly. Is the nose tip maybe especially smooth or slightly shiny?

Have you tried placing 1 or 2 CPs there?

By the looks of it you need to make the reconstruction region slightly bigger as it is clipping the nose.

RC usually does a good job when auto creating the reconstruction region but sometimes it does make it a little bit too small.

And then you need to correct it.

    Götz, thanks.

2 control points helped a bit.

Even though RC marked them with a red cross.

I thought that means that it won't be used.

    Seems it does anyways...

    Good to know.

Edit: 4 control points (where 3 were marked red) solved the problem!

Can the devs say something about that?

I think if the devs were more active here, I could learn RC faster.

I'm testing it since weeks, and I think I'm still only at 20% at knowing everything.

    Hi alice,

    glad it helped!

The red crosses are actually a good sign since it means that what you and RC selected differs.

That means that the alignment in this area is not ideal yet.

So you need to run another alignment, which should bring the errors down (if you did everything properly, and RC as well). Sometimes (more often than not) another area of the model will get a bit worse. Try not to fall into this trap! As often said and initially even more often doubted, more images would be much quicker. Unfortunatelly, like in your case it's not always possible.

I can totally understand what you mean by the 20%. I am at it since 2,5 years (2 without longer gaps) and I still am not nearly at 100%. It's unfortunately a steep learning curve that we have to deal with, if we want to reap the benefits of the software. Hopefully, after the epic update, there will be more time for the Devs to create more tutorials...
