    4. I think it would be much more intuitive if the mouse directions would be reversed while selecting the position of the CPs in the 2D images to match the normal behaviour of placing CPs.

Is it intended behaviour that once suggested points have been deleted from one CP, it is not possible to have new ones suggested?

    5. There should be a different button for Control Point Placement. Now, when the function is active I cannot change cameras in the §D view because the new tool is blocking me from doing anything else than placing a new 3D CP. That means I have to switch it off and on which is quite inconvenient...

    Greetings.

Thank You for the feedback. We are happy that the tool allows You to be faster.

@ 1. Do You mean that for a selected control point the cameras in 3d for which the control point has suggested measurements shall be rendered with a specific colour? Right now, the so called camera relation lines connecting the control point and the cameras are being rendered and those representing the suggested measurements have different colour than those representing the validated measurements. Is this not enough?

@ 2. This seems only as a different suggested control point measurements ordering rule than the one mentioned in the next point.

@ 3. This is a planned feature, but requires some additional work on our codebase and thus it will take some time to deliver it.

@ 4. Please, can You clarify? When You are suggesting the control point from 3d, You are actually placing the point in 3d space and as far as I can imagine, it is not possible to flip the mouse y-axis there.

@ intermezzo. Yes, it is intended to disable further suggesting of a particular control point into an image once such suggestion has been deleted by the user.

@ 5. I see. Well, so You suppose the control point edit tool shall be explicitly split in two versions, 2d and 3d? Or would it be enough if the user could supress the tool in 3d by e.g. holding the spacebar to be able to select a camera?

    Hi Milan,

@@1. Yes, exactly. The lines are helpful, but for one thing the grey of the un-verified cameras is easily "swallowed" by the sparse point cloud and for another, when there are many cameras close to each other, it is difficult to see where exactly the line ends. With the whole camera color coded (like components with the inspection tools), it would be much easier.

@@2. and 3.  Great, I am looking forward to this filter!

@@4. Yes, I am placing it in 3D but in the 2D viewports, the best suited cameras for the viewing angle are displayed automatically. There, the CURSOR follows my mouse movement. But the logic here is turned around to the "normal" placement of CPs where the IMAGE follows the cursor. This throws me off every time since it's just not logical...

@@intermezzo. In my case, I cannot re-set the suggested points though - once I cleared them, they will never show up again, at least I don't know how, because sometimes it works without my doing (see https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360002779291-Erratic-behaviour-of-Control-Point-Suggestion?page=1#community_comment_360000677071)

@@5. Both would work, but I would prefer splitting it since it's two different functions in my view. If you prefer something like spacebar to be pressed, then to ACTIVATE the 3D placement, at least this would feel more natural to me and if it were the other way round, one would need to press several keys to asign a camera to a viewport while Control Point is active...
