IPP Cannot load the project that was locked
AnsweredHello,
First, the new IPP system is great!
But I have the " Cannot load the project that was locked to another machine ". As I understand, it's because the computer thinks this is a demo or something like that. With the new licensing system, why lock the file?
I have 2 computers, 1 at home and 1 at work, it seems really frustrating to exchange files between devices?
Thanks!

Erik, just wanted to follow up. Is this still something we cant do on version 1.0.3.9696. The PPI license you guys allow floating. But, if we cant open the project on another machine... it really hurts our workflow. We are a studio where someone else needs access to the RC project.

Dear CR,
I have the same problem, cannot open a project on another computer and finish processing it.
What is the solution? Start over again in the second computer?
I think it is not described at the license description and it is an important issue.
Please, could you give us information about how to solve this problem?
thanks

Hello dear vasaroph,
a PPI project created and saved on one machine is locked to it and cannot be opened on another machine currently. If you want to switch to another computer or don't have access to the one before, your only option is to use the images again to create a new project, these images will already be licensed if you have paid for them once. As mentioned, it is planned to removed the lock in the future, but when exactly is not even in my knowledge. It is there due to various reasons. -
Hello dear Erik,
Ok I understand. My question is: imagine this situation. I have a PPI license and I have a project that only can be run in one computer. Then, later I update my suscription to a PGM mode.
First of all, can I continue working in the previous project as with the PPI license?
An the second question is: from this PGM license, can I save the project again or with another name and then, using it in another computer?
Thank you so much,
Pep
