Cannot align photos in full circle - only aligns half
AnsweredHello - I'm using photos that I've extracted from a video of walking around the perimeter of the interior of a bar. I have plenty of overlap in each frame. I have attached my alignment settings as a screenshot. When I run the alignment, it seems to align one side very well, but it can never complete the full circle. It seems as thought there are plenty of features in each shot that it should work.
I would love any sort of advice or assistance. I'd post all my photos but they are large and there are many. Please me know what I can provide to help understand my issue. Thanks so much!

Greetings
I would suggest you to try shooting images instead of reconstructing a video. There are lots of reasons why your results could get better thanks to this change.
1. The images will have a bigger resolution.
2. They will also be sharper.
3. You will prevent having motion blur in your images.
4. And finally the focus will be much more correct.
It also depends on the object ofcourse. It should have enough features for RC to align it well and the detail should not be repetitive. Also you should frame it well while shooting, so you’re not only shooting close-ups. For any other workflow questions please contact our community via facebook post on Capturing Reality Arena.

Erik - Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, the video is all I have to work with for now, as getting photos of the space is not possible at the moment. Is there anything I can do to optimize what I have from the video capture and get a decent result? I've got chunks rebuilt in several different projects and was planning on trying to combine them as components. The only issue is that I cannot get the full circle to align and generate a mesh. It seems to only be able to capture one side, and if I add all the photos I get a worse result even though it seems to me that I have lots of details in the photos that should allow them to align properly.

Dear Jesse
Try to navigate to alignment settings and set the "Image overlap" to Low, then in the Advanced section set the "Detector sensitivity" to High and "Force component rematch" to Yes. If this doesn't help then try to add some control points on the parts where the component disconnects.
