Does a detail decimation factor of less than 1 make sense?

    Hello Andrea,

    if you set the decimation factor e.g. 0.5, RC will create approximately 4 times more vertices, But this can cause that the reconstruction will be more noisy and that the false points will be created.

    Decimation is what happened to Roman regiments which chose the wrong side and were defeated in Rome's endless internal struggles. Every tenth man would be executed as punishment.

    No of vertices is proportional to the inverse square of the decimation no? 0.5 gives 4x. So does 2 give 1/4x, 3 gives 1/9x ?
