Second Alignment which is using the Reconstruction Region as limit
CompletedDear Team,
is there a chance to get something like a second alignment which is using the Reconstruction Region as its limit? It would be a very fast and easy way to get rid of unwanted geometry and would put "two halfs" of an object together without masking all the images. Or is there already a way of doing that?
Many Thanks!

Thanks for your reply! Let me try to describe it a bit better:
I would love a feature that would allow me to draw a box after the first alignment, like the reconstruction region BUT this box would be active and limiting a second time alignment and would only create points within the box.
I guess that RC knows after the alignment where a point of the 2D picture is located in 3D space, so drawing a box after the alignment and then doing alignment with this active box again could have the same effect like masking all 2D images, correct?
With masking all 2D images I can get RC to build one solo model from an object which needed to be turned, fliped, moved during the photo process. With the box I imagine I could get rid of all unwanted backround information already for the alignment process and would end up as well with one solo model.
I hope it is a bit better to understand now....

how about using the Reconstruction Region in combination with the Filter Selection tool? do you know also the Clipping Box?
there are also some new features coming in the next release regarding the Reconstruction Region: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010894299-Version-1-0-3-10298-RC-Pre-release-

May be you just implemented this feature with export mesh mask images, that would be great! I will have a look.
