hi there, lets assume we have a job where we need to create a fairly moderate 3d model of a large landscape area. think about 5-10 square kilometers in size... i expect that the team who will take the aerial images will not be able to do the whole area at once or even in the time of one day.. although they will use multiple drones and lots of batteries we will run double grid missions from 100 m above ground looking straight down and also double grid missions rotated 45° with a slightly sloped camera view but in the end, we will most likely end up with several "sets" of images. in the worst case with different weather and time of day... we plan to have them with a little overlap and also put colored plates with markers that we use as tie points and that we will also geolocate with a special supersensitive gps device for some additional detail... my question is now, does anyone have some proper experience with large scale projects and what problems are there to be expected and what can be done to avoid them :) maybe there is even a good tutorial availeable on how to combine the individual image sets in the end and how to have one consistent large model?! thanks for any help and input - best, franz
