Hi, we are trying to move to a HDR workflow using 16 bit TIFF source images output from lightroom coming from Sony Alpha cameras.
We know that RC gives you the option to convert TIFF's to 8 bit JPG on import for processing - and then use the 16 bit TIFF's from texture generation (to save on processing time)
Is there any advantage at all in using the 16 bit TIFF's for processing to create the model in high detail - if processing time is not a issue ?
I see a lot of questions and discussions around this but no real answers as to if the extra 16 bit image data helps to create better point clouds.
