    Hi Tony,

what would you want to gain from that? The best possible mesh in order to compare it to other software?

Don't worry so much about the resources, RC is quite good at managing them so that you can process small to medium projects even with "normal" PC. What have you got?

The thing about your Catch22 is that most of the work is precisely to learn how to get the best results from RC, the workflow varies from case to case. So I can only encourage you to try it yout yourselves. As a rule of thumb: it works very well in most cases with standard settings. If you have difficulties, then it is quite likely that you won't get perfect results from the image set provided...

    Hi Tony,

    Hi Sam,

If you want I can have a look at your dataset and provide some advices (just give me a link to a zip file containing your pictures), and maybe do a quick test, but as Götz said, you have to experiment yourself. You don't even need to have a GPU to do the alignments (you need an NVIDIA CUDA to do the meshing, which come after the alignment), so you can really start with the promo $99 license and a small Windows PC (anything with more than 4GB of RAM should work). If you run into memory issues, try to downscale to 2 in alignments settings.

    Good luck !

    Jonathan.

Yeah I would like to do it for you. I just finished my house and yard of about 350 pictures of ground and drone shots. I've also had good results of 2500+ drone pics of my entire neighbor hood. Just shoot me the link.

    Hi Götz, Jonathan, Steven,

Many thanks for your advice and offers to help, really appreciate it. Completely take your points on experimenting with it (and this forum has proved really useful and interesting so far). We'll be doing that with gusto - we just have to first get past our business partners and investors with proof of concept.

Jonathan, Steven - if you don't mind dropping me a line on tonyroddam@flyingcoloursmedia.co.uk I'll share a link to the data.

    Thanks again
