Improvement of suggested points
As nice as the suggestion of CPs is, I think that in complex scenes it can actually be couter-productive.
The reason for that is that the algorythm very often has quite a lot false positives, including images where the CP is covered (which is not that bad) but also where it is seen from behind! At least the latter should not happen and can probably be easily fixed.
Apart from that, there should be a way to deactivate the auto suggestion - not the 3D placement (for which I believe the same function is used) but to include them in the CP tree. As I said it can be very confusing to have hundreds of suggestions so that the benefit is totally inverted.
At the very least there should be an easy option to remove a large part of the suggestions by (de)selecting several cameras with lasso or rectangle.

hi, if I were you, I would add this post to this older, related topic of yours: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360002774911-Improvement-of-automatic-Control-Point-placement

Greetings Götz.
The problem with false positives has been fixed recently. Also, one can completely turn of the suggesting mechanism in Alignment Settings panel under the Advanced settings with option 'Enable measurements suggestions'.
If these fixes are not already present in the current public release, they will be in the next one.
