inspection tool and relationship between max reprojection error?
I have cooked up 1 component of my object, aligning 1850 images in various photo loops, using a turning table. Without the help of control points! This means a 100% alignment with default reprojection error of 2px. With default reprojection error 2,000000 you see all the blue lines linked with the images when using inspection tool. No soft spots so no more images should be added.
But to refine the mesh prior to reconstruction you have to align again with a smaller reprojection error (and ungrouped images). As mentioned above, with default max reprojection error 2,000000 you see all the lines linked with the images when using inspection tool, but upon lowering the reprojection errors, the blue lines with inspection tool reduce or go away between the images, but the one component makes up the same amount of images. Is this a good thing?
Is it good when lowering reprojection error to don’t see the connections between the images anymore with inspection tool? I can’t seem to wrap my head around this. Any suggestions?
Regards,
Youri
