I'm combining an e57 from pre-registered scan data with images and have successfully aligned all my cameras. The tie points produce what looks like is going to be a good point cloud (not so interested in a mesh at this stage). However, when the reconstruction is finished (in normal or high detail), I'm left with less less coverage than either the tie points or the laser scan gives me. Some features look good and have plenty of points, while others are completely missing. The main thing I'm interested in is the steel structure in the image below, which was well photographed:
The tie points look promising:
The structure has been scanned in detail from one side and is part of the alignment, so at very least I'd expect to see these points, yet this is the result:
Half the structure is missing. Is there a setting I need to adjust to get more points to generate?
A second issue I'm having is that the pointcloud from RC is not registering tightly to the scan point cloud in all areas:
The difference between scan and RC output here is about 15cm. Is there any setting to help bring these two together? (scan is colourized)
