Very long time for reconstruction on high detail level
Hi,
I've been using photoscan for a while and now trying reality capture. I was impressed by the fast alignment with aroung 350 photos, also with the reconstruction time (1h 45mins) at normal detail level, but then I tried high detail level. After 18 hours it's still running and it's complete by around 40%. I'm using my sata hdd for the cache, because on my ssd there is not enough free space. Ram is 32 GB, GPU is GTX 1070.
What could be the reason for that massive increase in reconstruction time?
Does high detail reconstruction really take around 20 times longer than normal?
Thanks in advance for any help.

My experience is that that is a relatively normal time for high detail, having similar numbers of photos and pc spec. It seems likely that setting a well-defined reconstruction region before reconstruction would help to cut it down but I haven't tested this scientifically. I currently have one with 733 photos onto 22 hours so far and reading about halfway through, with a PC with 32GB and GTX1080 card...
