I'm having a lot of problems with imported meshes from 3DS Max and unwrapping.
I have yet to find any combination of mapping export parameters that allow me to reproject textures consistently to imported UV mapping.
Starting from an editable poly object, a "building", I have unwrapped the object by polygon to a nice UV map. Imported to RC and running Reproject, I either get strange partial textures or nothing at all (and no errors).
I have tried starting from both editable mesh and poly objects, and exporting OBJs in triangle, quad and poly modes...
Running RC's unwrap results in a complete mess of overlapping triangular geometry.
Does anyone have advice on preserving UV mapping on imported geometry?
Is there any paid or telephone support for RC -- I really need to be able to walk through this with someone. Thanks!
