I’m trying to register a project of a river.
Data collection comes from a 4 pass corridor scanning.
80% - 80% overlap.
I have a set of GCP distributed evenly. I started registering 5-7 points to have a rough registration and add the other points after the first run.
I have at the moment two points on each extreme and two along the path.
After the first alignment the two extreme points have zero deviation, but the middle ones show a Z error of 300 meters.
I never experienced similar issue in grid projects. It looks like RC forces the registration on the extremes closer points causing a rotation along the main axis.
Is there some tip or am I missing something?
