    Hello James,

Could you also upload an image of the skull you're trying to scan?

Might just be a hard to capture surface, if it's uniform shiny plastic.

    Hi Lukas,

Here is a picture of the skull. Please disregard the lighting, it’s not what I used in the scan. As you can see the skull is quite matte. What some reasons why a scan may end up with a surface like mine? Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm shooting video so RC decides how many photos it will take from one video. Right now I'm shooting 4k video at 60fps.

    Hi James,

i think the noise comes from the video itself... try taking shots with a tripod, and a turntable with markers on it, as well as a uniform colored backdrop (in your case probably black and far away from the object, so it doesn't get much light, and stays pitch black in the image). Also do not change your focus during shots (fixed Focus, fixed Exposure, fixed Whitebalance). I think, when shooting video on smartphones, they tend to do a lot of automated stuff in software, as well as constantly changing focus and exposure- not good for photogrammetry... -And use a tripod and a remote cam trigger, helps getting sharp images :)
