selecting specific reconstructed part to track down photo data set to use
Hi,
I am currently working on a model which contain two distinct data sets. Although there is in my opinion overlap to connect the two components (each distinct data set), it will not connect!
I can’t shoot more pictures and are doomed to fuse them with CP’s.
The subject photographed is a complete item, but I shot the top part and bottom part separately by turning over the item when done with photograping each part.
The model stayed stationary, but is in nature asymmetrical. Each dataset contain the same overlapping of top and bottom part, so should in theory end up in 1 component.
But anyways I did my best, but it still does not work out. I now want to refine the photo’s of the top part, to offer a select dataset.
Is there a way to select only the photos of the top part you want to use, when you have already reconstructed the model?
In doing so I can then use only the refined photos of the reconstructed selected top part to upload in the bottom data set part. Which I can connect with CP’s.
Feedback is welcome.
Regards,
Youri

Hi Youri,
you can try to use masks on your images to cover the background and try to align them with applied mask.
To you question, you can select wanted cameras using tool Camera lasso. You can find this under Scene 3D tab/Tools/Registration & Sparse Point Cloud
Then you can export selected cameras by Alignment tab/Export/Image list
Then just import this image list to wanted project.
