iPhone ProRAW as HDR input

Since iPhone 12 Pro, Apple has introduced a non-proprietary 12-BIT DNG raw format that they call ProRAW (here's a good writeup about it from Halide). However when importing into RC, RC doesn't detect them as RAW inputs. 

Is this due to the fact that they're 12 BIT and not 16? Is supporting it something that's planned?

  Phones becoming the main capture device for amateur and partly professional work is a good reason to support the best quality available for those folks. As metaverse is becoming ever more important this kind of support has a huge effect on using this software.

  I agree. Iphones are becoming very viable capture devices and this is only going to increase for here on.
