Custom UVs
I'm trying to figure out if Reality Capture can re-project to custom UVs. I've read a lot of old posts about this not working in Reality Capture from 3+ years ago but can't find any recent discussions.
Currently my workflow is to export obj out of RC. Import into ZBrush for cleanup and export obj with custom UVs so that it overwrites original obj export out of RC. When I load up RC I import that obj and hit texture button. Export as fbx. Import fbx into ZBrush and when I do UV check my custom UVs are gone. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I really want to learn how to do this but can't seem to find any recent guides to troubleshoot the software.
Included images (or at least I think I did, never posted here before) from zbrush before and after as well as export settings out of RC.
UPDATE:
Looks like images didn't load using "insert image". If it helps to see my screenshots I can try to send them another way.
Any help is appreciated here. Think I've been trying to get this to work for a year now and every time I try to troubleshoot I just give up. Really feeling frustrated now but don't want to give up.

Hi cdelehanty,
I would 1st create a 40 mil derivate
improve the topology with lasso selections and smoothing tool
then UV unwrap it again and texture it
then I would simplify the model using the lasso tool and simplification tool (to simplify only selections)
Then I would export it, cleaned it, created custom UV unwrap
Then Imported the model back to RealityCapture and projected all the textures from the 40mil version to the cleaned model from 3rd party soft.Did you tried also another format, not FBX?
