Hi, this was answered by our support.

You can also align unmasked images (or part of it), scale it according to scale, align/update, export XMPs and use these XMPs in masked alignment.

Hi. You say this was anwered by support, but that does not help me.

I am trying to scale a model, but normal method does not work. Images has been masked in two sets. After updating or realligning, scale is way off, as can be seen in atttached screenshot. Any method for doing this?

    Hi Teslacoiler77,
it seems that your images are georeferenced:

Can you set No in Alignment tab/Registration/Settings/Advanced/Use camera priors for georeferencing and then align again?

    Hi,

I'm having the same question: I have a stone which I photographed from above and below.I am using a turn table with April tags, so I canactually set the distance accurately to 10 cm. To have one complete object I need to cut away the turn table in both components. Therefore I exporting the masks accordingly, then opening a new project and loading the images with masks. However I couldn't find a way to keep the scale of the stone in the course of the process. Is there any possibility to keep the set distance, or any other workflow?

    Thx

    Hello,

You may use XMPs as my colleague mentioned, but not from all sets.

Scale every scene (create control points, define distance), and export XMP files as Exact (to preserve relative positions between cameras), except for one set. When exporting XMP files for that set choose to export them as Locked. This way that set will be set in space, and it won't be movable, yet other non-locked images will be tied to it based on the common features.
