Newbie questions

Hello, this was my first photogrammetry attempt. I took 130 24mp images of a shoe against black backdrop. I read that if object is against a black backdrop and ground, then RC will treat the object as a floating object. Therefore the object can be moved and repositioned while the camera is stationary and only changes the angle; which is what I did.

But the best result is only 25 usable images after messing around with settings and multiple alignments, average usable image of 5 alignments is 15.

what were your alignment settings?

Can you post here also print screen from RC? What was your image overlap?

The problem could be, that the shoe is quite shiny. Then there could be a problem with finding the features over the image.

I used mostly default setting. Unfortunately, the test project wasn't saved. But I learned a bit more over the weekend from RC youtube channel, BTW good tutorials. I'll try the mask method and reconstruct them from multiple setups.
