Computer makes funny sound when calculating mesh

I doubt it's a hardware problem or a problem at all, but at the beginning of constructing a mesh, my computer sounds like there are mice in there.
There is a high squeaking sound. I have no real mechanical parts like a mechanical hard drive, so I'm curious where it comes from.

Does this happen to anyone else?

  Yes, I have the same issue on my Dell when doing a large model, but its not very often.

  Same here. I thought I had bats in the corner of the roof or something.
