Woeful Viewport Camera issues
I've been using Reality Capture for a while and it pretty much does everything I could ever want in Photogrammetry software however there is one place where it is seriously let down; the viewport camera controls are absolutely woeful.
Once you've got a working mesh you can pan and rotate it pretty easily but you'd best make well sure that you dont click on anything else because the camera pivot point will lock onto something miles off in the distance and now you're pivoting the whole scene around a seemingly arbitrary point and there seems to be no way to lock it back on your mesh.
Also, if I'm rotating the camera with the right click around my object, WHY on earth would right clicking and dragging the reconstruction zone move the reconstruction zone?? Please, my god, map that to a different input would you? Almost every project I accidentally move the reconstruction zone miles off of the mesh because I'm trying to inspect the model.
Also if you go to inspect individual shots from individial 3d cameras in the viewport your view can get rotated and there seems to be absolutely no input that I can find to rotate it back so the plane is facing straight up on the Z axis.
I feel like this is 3d space navigating 101. Can we please throw some development into this area?

Hi DodgySparky, when you move the reconstruction region, you can reset this to original position by clicking on Set region automatically:
Also, you can reset view, when there is no possibility to get it into a wanted position:
I will add your ideas into our feature request database.

Ronski, that's really useful, thanks for the tip!
I reckon the developers should still try and bring viewport navigation closer in line with other 3D software. At the end of the day if the user is using Reality Capture then they are almost 100% likely to be familiar with other 3D software first
