Double Projection in Ortho Mosaic
Hi,
As you can see on the enclosed image, we are getting double projections on the Ortho Mosaic. This is not the case when we render a True Ortho from Textured Model.
We flew the mission in different patterns (but always Nadir and in 2D mapping with the Phantom 4 RTK and the DJI GS RTK app) and on different heights (30 mtr and 60 mtr) Same problem. Overlap 80% front 75 side.
What could be the reason and the solution ?
Many thanks up front.
Grts,
Ronny

Hi RVMC2640,
did you use Image mosaicing settings? Did you use Aerial option?
If you received results like this, you need to use Enhance mosaic tool to set the correct ortho mosaic:How to use this tool you can see in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxNwvpNsJUI&t=22s

Thx for your suggestion Ondrej.
Yes, we used the Aerial option.
I know about the enhance mosaic option. But the double projection of building edges is everywhere on the Ortho projection.I'm now thinking it might have to do with bad classification.
I'll try to manually classify all the points. Maybe this will help.Grts, R.

This did NOT help.
Still getting double projections in the Ortho Mosiac (aerial) end in some places parts are missing.
I've added Control Points, cleaned the model, added a Classification and made sure that all points of the building were grouped. But still: double or mis aligned projections on the edge of the building.
Any suggestions ?
I can send the data set for trial if anyone wants to try to make a correct Ortho.

We made 4 different sets of images.
I've send you the very first set. Taken at an altitude of 30mtr.
All Nadir except the last 12 (+/-).They were shot at a 60° angel.
Pictures were taken with the DJI Phantom 4 RTK.If you need any other info regarding my settings in "RC" or "DJI GS RTK", please let me know.
Looking foreward to your Ortho Mosaic (aerial).
Many thank for the effort.

Hi,
thank you for your data. I tested it and also get double walls. The possible issue here could be used images, as they have some distortions.
But using Enhance I was able to get nice ortho with one wall:
I just selected one image in Enhance mosaic for the wall (the most oblique or capturing the whole area) for a wanted place:
For now this is the best solution how to solve it.
