saving project path not found
i have a prjoect I am trying to save copies of , sort of backups to the project as I go along, I want to save the project "Save AS" after I do an alighnment, then save as after i create my first model, then save as after texturing, etc.
once i try to do that, I get the saving project path not found error, and then i try to save the project to the original project and i get the same error again.
What exactly am I doing wrong? I'm just trying to create backups and every time i do this , it messes everything up.

Hello,
which version of RC are you using? Are those files maybe stored on a cloud?
Could you please change one of the views to console and send me a screenshot of RC's behavior when trying to save your project or creating an ortho projection?
Did you maybe alter your cache file in any way? This can happen when you will lose access to the file path of you cache, dataset folder or project folder.
Usually, this happens when your hard drive is disconnected during a large dataset calculation (it does not matter if your hard drive was reconnected in the meantime) -
Hello... I too am getting the same error and am curious to see if / how this may have been resolved.
I was able to export point clouds (.las and .dxf) but was unable to export a orthomosaic and cannot save the project. I've attached screenshots below. When I click "Start" in the "Workflow" menu, it begins the "Creating Virtual Reality" sequence and analyzes, matches, and processes the images and it fails saying the path wasn't found in the black box
at the bottom of the "Creating Virtual Reality" screenshot below.
The project consists of 1803 images which are all now registered and I don't want to lose the registration of those images simply because I can't save the project. This is the second time I've had this issue. I'll need to check to see if I've been charged twice because of this error.
Per the question above, I have not altered my cache file at all. I was asleep while it rendered overnight. The "RealityCapture.Temp" folder is in the root of my D drive has 2,416 files associated with this attempt. Is that the folder that the project path seems to be looking for but cannot find?
Any help to save this project would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much! :)
Thanks very much! :)

Hi Damon,
are you using some non-Latin characters in the folder names? Where are your data saved? As I wrote before this can happen when you will lose access to the file path of you cache, dataset folder or project folder.
Usually, this happens when your hard drive is disconnected during a large dataset calculation (it does not matter if your hard drive was reconnected in the meantime)Is it possible to export the component?

Hi Ondrej, thanks very much for the speedy reply. Below is a screenshot of my settings showing the placement of the .Temp folder, if that helps.
Pardon my ignorance, but which component should I try to export? There are many listed in my "Component" dropdown box in the View menu. I can export point clouds but not orthos.
If I close this project will I lose my image registrations?

Component which was used for model creation. It seems that it is somehow corrupted, but you have set autosave, so theoretically if you close the RC using Task Manager and you will reopen RC there should be possibility to recover. But firstly I would export your component, as that could save alignment time (not meshing, it will be needed to do again).
